What is the target audience for Ill Manors?
For Ill manors the main target audience of the film I believe is mainly for those that do not understand that children have reasons for their actions and that they do not just behave bad because they want to. Ill manors, shows the many different ways in which council state children go through everyday struggles and by showing these, try to convey the reasons behind their actions. The target audience may also be for those that are in a similar position to those in the film, as they are able to relate to themselves, and after the film being the produced, this may have also made them feel valued. Age wise, the target audience for this film is specifically for those aged between 16 – 30. As they are free from restriction, I believe that the film falls under the psychographic group of reformers. Finally as it appeals to younger people of society, such as the lower working class, it fits in the demographic groups, C,D, and E.

For Ill manors the trailer contains a lot of different ways in which they hook the audiences towards their narrative. The first thing that is of narrative that brings attention to the audience is the question that comes up when the trailer starts. This is because it automatically makes the want to know why it is being asked. In addition to this, there is also a voiceover in the film which again brings attention to the audience. Reviews are also shown in the trailer, this also hooks the audience as they know that the views are true as they are opinions of others who have watched the film, previous to them. Overall the fact that they show the characters whom are going to be in the film, also makes the audience question as to who they are and what they have been through, as they are all shown doing one thing or another, for example, dealing drugs. And by showing this, it makes them want to find out more and encourages them to watch the film and found out.

How does the trailer of Ill Manors balance plot and spectacle?
By showing all the characters in the film in the trailer and a little bit of dialogue to, gives a little bit of an idea to the audience of what the film is about. Additionally by using flashbacks in it helps to balance the plot as it makes the audience think even more as to what is going to happen in the film.
